The natural power of the Manuka- plant
Manuka Oil is a natural essential oil extracted from the leaves and twigs of the Manuka plant (Leptospermum scoparium). This is native to New Zealand and Southeast Australia.
The oil has been used for centuries by the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand for its therapeutic properties.
Manuka Oil is known for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties. This makes it the ideal ingredient for skin care products.
Up to 1000 times stronger than Manuka honey
The main active ingredient in Manuka Oil are Beta-Triketones, which exhibit potent antibacterial activity against a variety of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The oil also contains other compounds such as Alpha- and Beta-Pinene and Limonene which contribute to its therapeutic properties.
This makes Manuka Oil for external use many times stronger than the well-known Manuka honey.
In addition to Manuka Oil, our skin care products contain other natural ingredients such as aloe vera, shea butter and jojoba oil, which provide additional benefits for the skin. And also the closely related Kanuka Oil, with its powerful anti-inflammatory effects.
